Conservative politicians want to turn Social Security and Medicare into money making schemes for their campaign contributors.They advocate turning your secure, guaranteed Social Security into a risky, market based “individual account”. This would be a bonanza for investment brokers but a disaster for most of us.
Conservatives want to change Medicare into a voucher program. This means instead of having the guaranteed Medicare benefits, you would get a fixed amount to buy private health insurance.
